
Reporting to the Syria Logistics Manager and in collaboration with the Hub Manager, the Field/Hub Logistics Supervisor ensures the efficient management of logistical resources for the hub for which s/he is responsible. S/he is the logistics focal point for the Syria Logistics Manager and the Hub Manager and as such informs him/her of any problems and suggests solutions within his/her scope of responsibility. S/he participates actively in the phased reorganization of HI in the field as part of the ROOTS project. S/he is a key player in the rollout and implementation of HI’s logistics standards in the hub for which s/he is responsible, consisting in a reworking of the positioning of logistics at HI and the assertion of the principle of the professional channel.

Mandatory Qualifications/Requirements
Education:
High Education (University degree) in Logistics/ Supply Chain/ Business Administration/ Engineering
Professional Experience:
Min. 3 years in logistics management in humanitarian context
Professional & Personal skills required:
Strong understanding of logistics management in a humanitarian context
Knowledge of logistics standards
Experience in risk assessment and incident reporting
Competency in supply chain planning and operational coordination
Ability to ensure compliance with donor frameworks and rules
Expertise in team leadership, development, and capacity building
Strong proficiency in budget planning and resource allocation
Ability to analyze regulatory requirements related to logistics, transport, and customs
Experience in emergency preparedness and response
Proficiency in English language and IT tools (Office 365)
Autonomous and able to make decisions independently
Solution-oriented, with a proactive approach to problem-solving
Innovative, capable of adapting logistics strategies efficiently
Highly organized and anticipative in managing operational challenges
