The Financial Assistant with proven experience in integrated financial operations, deep expertise in the QuickBooks accounting system, and strong compliance knowledge. Skilled in managing daily transactions, financial reconciliations, document control, and supporting the finance department in providing accurate and timely financial reports.
- Operations Management (finance, HR, Supply Chain, and Admin):
• Process all invoices, expenses, and operating costs within the system, assigning appropriate accounting codes and financing projects.
• Perform monthly bank and cash reconciliations using QuickBooks tools and resolving discrepancies.
• Manage the chart of accounts and link entries to funding sources and special grants.
• Review all documents related to operating advances and travel advances and ensure they are supported by the necessary documentation and approvals.
- General Finance and Compliance:
• Manage and record cash transactions using appropriate accounting tools (cash books and bank accounts).
• Perform monthly reconciliations of cash and bank accounts.
• Receive and review all financial documents, ensuring their accuracy, completeness, and compliance with Orange's internal policies and donor regulations.
• Ensure that all financial documents are correctly coded, translated (into English), approved, and supported by the necessary evidence.
• Review operational and travel advance settlements for accuracy and completeness before processing.
• Maintain an organized archiving system (paper and electronic), ensuring easy access to documents during audits.
• Record incoming financial documents in appropriate registers and records.
• Implement internal control systems and ensure full compliance with Orange's financial and logistics policies.
• Full professional experience using QuickBooks (essential).
• University degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
• At least two years of experience in a finance role, preferably within NGOs or donor-funded projects.
• Familiarity with donor compliance regulations (e.g., UN, EU, USAID, etc.).
• High accuracy, attention to detail, and excellent document handling skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial performance tracking tools.
