1. Conduct site visits to assess the condition of existing buildings and identify structural and architectural needs.
2. Prepare technical evaluation reports for buildings to be rehabilitated or restored, including technical specifications, quantities, and recommendations.
3. Contribute to the design or review of engineering plans for projects (architectural, structural, electrical, and mechanical).
4. Prepare bills of quantities and work schedules required for implementation.
5. Provide technical supervision of construction, restoration, and outfitting work to ensure compliance with plans and technical specifications.
6. Monitor the execution of work on-site and ensure adherence to schedules and the quality of materials used.
7. Coordinate with contractors and engineering teams to ensure efficient workflow.
8. Prepare periodic progress reports (daily, weekly, and monthly) and submit them to management.
9. Ensure compliance with occupational safety and public health standards during implementation.
10. Participate in preparing engineering tender documents (BoQs, ToRs, Specs).
11. Contribute to the final handover and acceptance process for projects and prepare acceptance reports.
12. Adhere to the Code of Conduct and Internal Regulations, as well as the policies for preventing exploitation, sexual abuse, and child protection.
- Context/Specific skills, knowledge, and experience:
- A degree in Civil or Architectural Engineering (essential).
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in supervising or evaluating construction projects, preferably in the healthcare sector.
- Experience in preparing engineering reports and bills of quantities.
- A good understanding of the standards and methodologies of humanitarian organizations.
- The ability to travel between work sites and conduct field visits.
