The project officer will support the project manager by handling administrative tasks, maintaining project documentation, and assisting in the coordination of project activities. He/she will ensure smooth communication between team members and help monitor the project's progress to ensure it stays on track. The project officer is accountable to the Project Manager.
• Jointly with the project manager oversee and monitor all project activities
• Ensure project activities comply with the policies and regulations of the donor organization.
• Responsible for overseeing the development and execution of project deliverables, jointly with the project manager follow-up the project planning, action plans and monitoring processes in a timely manner.
• Responsible for submitting activity reports, meeting minutes on a regular basis in a timely manner;
• Coordinate the activities of the project team.
• Coordinate and work with the project manager of the project
• Coordinate and work with relevant government institutions and non-governmental organizations in order to ensure the smooth execution of project activities.
• In collaboration with the M&E Team, collect information and draft narrative report
• Provide recommendations and initiate potential revision of activities if needed.
• Keep the project manager informed of programmatic updates and potential project ideas and initiatives.
• Perform administrative and logistics tasks required for the project implementation
• Perform other activities as necessary and assigned by the project manager.
• Bachelor in Social work or management or any related field. Candidates with Master degree are also invited to apply.
• At least 2 years of work with NGO experience.
• Experience working in Syria and with protection programs.
• Settled character with ability to cope with stressful, delicate and possibly unstable situations.
• Proactive attitude, flexible personality, strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• S/he should possess excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Arabic.
• Strong analytical, communication, time-management and leadership skills, must be reliable and have a high personal integrity level.
