Main tasks and responsibilities:
Projects management
- Closely coordinate with the project manager
- Coordinate resources for the flawless execution of projects.
- Ensure that project(s) are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Contribute to the timely and quality implementation of the project in line with its work plan.
- Assist the project department manager in developing project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
- Ensure resource availability and allocation.
- Assist the project department manager in the development of a detailed project plan to track progress.
- Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule, and costs.
- Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools, and techniques.
- Contribute to sufficient follow-up of the procurement plan, and review and validate the purchase order within the time and scope of the project.
- Perform risk management to minimize project risks.
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
- Ensure and track project spending on a monthly basis from all donors
- Ensure required reporting is done timely and accurately.
- Attend a weekly meeting to review the project's status with the program team.
Representation
- Represent SAMS in all relevant fora in relation to the position duties, e.g., UNOCHA, NGOs, and donors, as requested by the project department manager.
