Typically, a bachelor's degree or equivalent in medicine from a recognized institution.
• Postgraduate degree or diploma in obstetrics and gynecology or equivalent from a recognized institution.
• Valid license or registration to practice as an Obstetrician and Gynecologist
• At least five years of relevant experience as an Obstetrician and Gynecologist in a hospital setting, preferably in a 
low resource or humanitarian context.
• Proficient in the use of reproductive health equipment, supplies, and drugs, and familiar with the comprehensive 
reproductive health services and protocols.
• Able to perform clinical consultations, surgical procedures, and interventions independently and effectively.
• Able to diagnose, treat, and prevent reproductive health conditions promptly and appropriately.
• Able to work under pressure and in challenging conditions, and to cope with stress and uncertainty.
• Able to communicate and collaborate with other health professionals and patients from diverse backgrounds and 
cultures.
• Fluent in English and the local language, and able to read, write, and speak clearly and accurately.
• Committed to humanitarian values and principles, and respectful of the dignity and rights of the patients and 
thecommunities.
