
Monitoring:
Develop and implement comprehensive monitoring frameworks and plans for projects and programs.
Design and apply monitoring tools and methodologies to measure project progress and results.
Regularly collect, manage, and analyze monitoring data to assess project performance.
Identify trends, patterns, and potential issues through ongoing monitoring activities.
Evaluation:
Plan and conduct project and program evaluations using rigorous and appropriate methodologies.
Coordinate evaluation processes, including data collection, analysis, and reporting.
Summarize evaluation findings and translate them into actionable recommendations for program improvement.
Ensure evaluations comply with organizational and donor requirements and standards.
Establish feedback mechanisms to gather input from beneficiaries and stakeholders.
Monitor and respond to complaints and feedback in a timely and effective manner.
Ensure transparency and accountability in program implementation and decision-making.
Develop and maintain grievance redress mechanisms.
Integrate learning into program design and implementation to improve effectiveness.
Stay updated on emerging trends and methodologies in monitoring, evaluation, and learning.
Objectives
Effective Monitoring and Reporting:
Ensure strong monitoring systems are in place for all projects and programs.
Produce accurate and timely reports on project progress and outcomes.
Establish regular feedback loops to foster continuous improvement.
Robust Evaluation Framework:
Conduct periodic evaluations to assess the relevance, effectiveness, efficiency, and impact of interventions.
Use evaluation findings to inform strategic decision-making and program adjustments.
Through awareness-raising sessions, receiving complaints and suggestions from beneficiaries, and close collaboration with the Accountability Officer to implement necessary adjustments.
Additional Responsibilities : The above-mentioned key tasks and duties are illustrative ones. Other future responsibilities may be assigned to the job at the request of the head of department according to the need.
Educational Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Project Management, Engineering, Statistics, Sociology, Economics, or any related discipline).
Work Experience:
At least one year of experience in monitoring and evaluation or a similar field within humanitarian or development organizations.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in basic computer applications (MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Knowledge and hands-on experience in data collection.
Personal Skills:
Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate efficiently with colleagues and stakeholders.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time and complete tasks within deadlines.
Attention to detail and accuracy in handling data.
Languages:
Proficiency in Arabic (spoken and written).
Good command of English (considered an asset).
Desired Requirements :
Previous experience working with humanitarian or development organizations.
Practical knowledge of digital data collection methodologies and tools (e.g., Kobo, ODK, CommCare).
Experience in using data analysis and statistical software (e.g., Power BI, advanced Excel).
Experience in designing and implementing surveys and field assessments.
Knowledge of Accountability to Affected Populations (AAP) principles and feedback/grievance mechanisms.
Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing environments.
