
The Remote Site Doctor is responsible for delivering comprehensive medical and occupational health services at remote or industrial sites. The role ensures compliance with Ministry of Health regulations and company clinical governance standards. The position supports the health, safety, and wellbeing of all personnel while maintaining audit-ready documentation
.This is a rotation-based position, typically operating on a 15 days on / 15 days off or 10 days on / 10 days off schedule, depending on operational requirements
Clinical ResponsibilitiesAssess, diagnose, treat, and document all medical cases within licensed scope of practice. Provide evidence-based medical care aligned with recognized clinical guidelines. Maintain accurate, complete, and confidential medical records. Ensure proper pharmaceutical storage, control, and documentation in accordance with the company’s procedures. Implement infection prevention and control (IPC) measures and biomedical waste management procedures. Ensure proper control, documentation, and reconciliation of controlled medications in accordance with the company’s procedures. |
Emergency & Medevac ResponsibilitiesProvide immediate life-saving interventions and emergency medical care on site. Remain available for emergency response on a 24/7 basis while deployed on site. Be physically present in the clinic during assigned clinic working hours and maintain operational readiness at all times. Stabilize patients and coordinate medical evacuation (Medevac) procedures. Maintain operational readiness of emergency communication systems and medical equipment. Participate in site emergency response drills. Train and supervise the ambulance driver in safe patient loading, unloading, stretcher handling, and basic life support procedures. |
Occupational Health ResponsibilitiesConduct pre-employment, periodic, and fitness-for-duty medical examinations. Perform alcohol and fitness testing for drivers and operators as required by site policy. Report occupational illnesses, injuries, and incidents according to company HSE procedures. Conduct hygiene inspections and water quality monitoring as per the client requirement. Provide regular health awareness and safety education sessions to site personnel. Participate in incident investigations and risk assessments when required. Provide medical clearance and return-to-work assessments as required. |
Administrative & Compliance ResponsibilitiesSubmit timely medical reports to the company’s Operations Coordinator and Site HSE. Ensure clinic facility is maintained in a clean, safe, and compliant condition. Conduct daily inspection of critical life-saving equipment (e.g., AED, oxygen supply, emergency medications). Conduct weekly inspection of clinic and ambulance medical equipment. Maintain comprehensive medical database of personnel records. Ensure calibration and preventive maintenance of medical equipment. Maintain audit-ready documentation. Maintain confidentiality of medical databases with secure storage systems. Ensure minimum stock levels of emergency medications and medical consumables are maintained at all times. Conduct monthly inventory review of medications and medical consumables and initiate replenishment requests when stock levels fall below minimum requirements. |
Compliance & Professional Standards Maintain a professional appearance and attitude at all times, wearing the uniform and required PPE during clinic hours. Participate in regular Continuing Medical Education (CME) and mandatory annual training programs. Maintain a valid and active medical license recognized by Ministry of Health. Adhere strictly to medical ethics, patient confidentiality, and data protection regulations. Practice strictly within licensed scope of practice. |
Registered Medical Doctor with local Health Governing
Minimum of 3 years post-graduation experience
Fluent in English, and Arabic
ACLS, ATLS, and ALS qualifications completed in past 2 years
Computer literate and competent in Microsoft Office
Experience in Emergency and General Practice
