The People and Culture Officer plays a key role in fostering a positive, inclusive, and productive organizational culture. The role involves implementing people-centered policies, managing talent acquisition, supporting employee well-being, and ensuring compliance with labor regulations and internal values.

Operations Management (finance, HR, Supply Chain, and Admin):

- Talent Acquisition & Onboarding:

·        Coordinate recruitment processes including job postings, interviews, and hiring.

·        Ensure a welcoming and professional onboarding experience for new team members.

·        Promote inclusive hiring practices aligned with organizational values.

- Employee Engagement & Culture:

·        Support initiatives that enhance employee motivation, satisfaction, and team cohesion.

·        Organize culture-building events and internal communication efforts.

·        Act as a point of contact for employee concerns, ideas, and feedback.

- Policies & Compliance:

·        Ensure compliance with Syrian labor law and internal HR policies.

·        Contribute to the development and communication of People & Culture guidelines.

·        Maintain confidentiality and ethical standards in handling employee matters.

 - Personnel Administration:

·        Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records (physical and digital).

·        Monitor attendance, leave balances, and contract renewals.

·        Coordinate with finance on monthly payroll input and documentation.

 - Learning & Development:

·        Identify capacity-building needs across departments.

·        Organize internal and external training sessions.

·        Track and report on employee development and performance.

- Well-being & Conflict Resolution:

·        Foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive workplace environment.

·        Mediate conflicts and ensure fair, transparent solutions.

·        Support initiatives promoting mental health and work-life balance.

- Reporting & Data Management:

·        Prepare regular reports on staffing, turnover, training, and P&C metrics.

·        Support audits and assessments related to HR processes.

·        Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or related field.

·        Minimum 2 years of experience in HR or People & Culture roles.

·        Solid understanding of Syrian labor law and best practices in organizational culture.

·        Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.

·        Strong communication, empathy, and conflict-resolution skills.

·        Ability to multitask and handle sensitive information with discretion.
