Position Title: Cleaner
Organization: Welthungerhilfe (WHH)
Location: Agro Business Center – Afrin
Contract Type: Full-time
Contract Duration: 28 October 2026 – 31 December 2026
1. Introduction
Welthungerhilfe (WHH) is a non-governmental, non-profit, politically independent, and
non-sectarian organization dedicated to helping communities suffering from poverty and
deprivation. WHH provides support regardless of race, religion, or political beliefs.
WHH is planning to implement diverse activities such as establishing Agro business
centers, distributing agricultural support vouchers, empowering women economically,
providing business support, offering internships for female agricultural engineering
students, and enhancing food and nutrition security for targeted households.
The centerpiece of WHH’s efforts is the establishment of an Agro-Business Center in Afrin.
This facility will deliver agricultural consultancy to farmers, strengthen value chains to
empower small farmers, and improve their livelihoods.
Two key value chains have been selected for development:
1. Olive value chain
2. Sesame value chain
These two sectors were identified based on their economic potential, market demand, and
the availability of raw materials in the region.
The Agro-Business Center will serve as a resource hub for small farmers, helping them
address challenges related to cultivation, harvesting, and farm management, enabling
farmers to improve their productivity, access markets, and increase their profitability.
Additionally, year-round workshops and training sessions will be organized to educate
farmers on sustainable farming practices, with
a particular focus on intercropping and sesame seed cultivation.
The Agro-Business Center will play a vital role in establishing and supporting committees
or cooperatives, fostering collaboration among farmers, strengthening their collective
influence, and enabling them to access better market opportunities, financial resources,
and technical support.
