Under the supervision and the mentorship of the Case Management Supervisor, the Caseworker will conduct all steps of the case management process for an assigned number of survivors. With supervision from the Case Management Supervisor the WPE Caseworker will ensure survivors of GBV or women and girls at risk GBV are receiving individual case management support by conducting documentation, assessments, action plans, direct service provision, referrals and follow ups for cases. The Case worker manage cases in line with the GBV Sub- Cluster case management SOPs, adhere to standard documentation processes and regularly document agreed upon forms and update trackers to ensure a comprehensive record case

  • Referrals from other agencies and community partners.
  • Provide survivors centered case management services, including needs assessment, case plans, Follow up, referrals, and counseling.
  • Develop and implement individual case planning
  • Ensure regular follow-up of the implementation of the case plan for each case.
  • Directly work with other caseworkers and service providers on management of caseload and referrals
  • Arrange case conferences for complex cases and ensure survivors receive multidisciplinary support
  • Regularly follow up to ensure all services and action points listed in the case plan are carried out within agreed time frames. Ensure that progress is regularly reviewed.
  • Provide confidential referral based on the survivors centered approach to other service providers as part of case management; follow-up to ensure that all the cases adequately receiving needed support once referral has been made.
  • Always adhere to the GBV protection guiding principles.
  • Submit annual case management reports
  • Create and update service mapping on their coverage area.
  • Receive cases referred from other service providers to provide case management as required.
  • Ensure that data collection and storage respect data protection protocols and confidentiality principle.
  • Communicate regularly with Case Management Supervisor for updates on achievements and challenges.
  • Supporting activities for regular project monitoring, process evaluation, and impact evaluation, as requested by the WPE Case Supervision Officer.
  • Contribute to the collection of information needed for M&E activities and progress towards indicators
  • Prepare and submit weekly and monthly work plans in a timely manner and incorporate supervisor feedback as requested.
  • Ensure that all relevant financial documentation is accurately completed and submitted, as required by IRC policies
  • Coordinate with other IRC sectors staff, and communities, at field level
  • Coordinate training and capacity-building as requested
  • Other duties as assigned by the supervisor to enable and develop IRC programs

  • Approximately 2 years of progressively responsible professional experience of GBV case management
  • Technical diploma or bachelor’s degree in social work, social sciences, psychology, counseling, or
  • another related diploma
  • Demonstrated understanding of working with survivors
  • Previous experience in an emergency or conflict-afflicted setting is required.

  • Validated ability to plan long-term, organize priorities and work under administrative and programmatic pressures with detail orientation and professional patience.
  • Highly collaborative and resourceful; ability to establish positive working relationships with senior level management and all other partners to maximize cooperation and productivity.
  • Curiosity, a desire to continually learn and develop is a must.
  • Analytical ability in creating effective solutions to complex matters while adhering to labor laws and internal policies.
  • Language/Travel:

  • Arabic is required, while English are desired.
  • Travel: Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment and travel as required to different field sites as well as attending regional and global workshops and meetings
  • Key Working Relationships:

  • Position Reports to: WPE Case Supervision Officer

  • Position directly supervises: NA

  • Indirect Reporting (If applicable): WPE Manager

  • Key Internal Contacts: IRC Departments inside of Syria (Supply Chain, ERD, Human Resources, M&E, etc.) and Protection team members

  • Key External Contacts: local authorities, community members and leaders, health services providers INGOs and other local charities/actors working in protection and any other relevant sectors
