Key relationships:

Main tasks and responsibilities:

• Work with the program team to develop a detailed M&E plan for the program based on the project log-frame to track progress against intended targets.
• Track the M&E plan and frequently provide the program team with trend analysis of tracked indicators while identifying outliers.
• Work with the MEAL manager and MEAL team to ensure the collection of relevant and appropriate data needed for an effective M&E system, which will be utilized in monitoring strengths, weaknesses, and gaps in existing programs and services, and for reporting on donor commitments as well as producing board summaries.
• Lead program monitoring activities, including tool design and analysis, in collaboration with the project team.
• Work closely with field MEAL officers to ensure that up-to-date monitoring activities are implemented, and data collected for all projects, in line with the project targets, and in a timely manner.
• Ensure all MEAL frameworks for all SAMS’s running projects are in place and updated on a monthly basis.
• Build the capacity of the MEAL field team through regular training and coaching to ensure adoption of monitoring tools and quality of data collected in line with agreed M&E plans and indicators.
• Conduct field monitoring visits to support monitoring the activities of SAMS projects in Turkey.
• Ensure proper training protocols and fieldwork protocols are being followed by the field teams.
• Work with the MEAL manager and the accountability officer on developing and implementing the field needs assessment.
• Strengthen monitoring and evaluation procedures and systems with support from the MEAL Manager.
• Contribute to the organizational development of local partners, including the support in developing systems to track progress on capacity building and organizational development of partners.

Coordination and communication

• Identify external, third-party stakeholders that can undertake monitoring/evaluation visits and facilitate and supervise their activities.
• Provide regular feedback to the project team and MEAL manager on project implementation.
