Under the line management of the Land Release Project Manager, the Paramedic is part of Land Release conducing Mine Action activities in the working areas assigned to the Humanity & Inclusion The Paramedic component of the project involves the location, removal and destruction of Explosive Remnants of War (ERW) and Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs), marking Suspected and Confirmed Hazardous Areas (SHA/CHA) and delivering emergency Risk Education (RE) safety briefings to persons at risk on the dangers of ERW and IEDs who are living, traveling or working close to the hazardous areas. The Medic is tasked to assist the project by provides medical support, casualty treatment and transportation mean in case of accident/incident. Medical support is a key service, which must be in place at all, times while conducting mine action operations.
Mandatory Qualifications/Requirements
Education:
An Emergency Medicine certificate or a Nursing certificate with a minimum of two years’ experience as a paramedic.
Professional Experience:
Minimum of 2 years professional experience as a paramedic, or in a similar role.
Previous experience with international or local NGO is desirable.
Previous work in Mine Action is desirable.
Professional & Personal skills required:
Proficient in trauma care, emergency medical procedures, and medication administration
Skilled in assessment and diagnosis during emergencies
Competent in medical equipment maintenance, supply tracking, and ambulance readiness
Ability to conduct BTLS training and participate in CASEVAC drills
Familiarity with HI medical protocols and evacuation planning
Strong data management and reporting skills
Effective communication, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities
High standards of hygiene, discipline, and professional ethics
Motivation for continuous learning and adaptability to field conditions
Coordination with internal teams and external medical facilities
Language proficiency: Excellent Arabic; English is an asset

Basic salary for the position: according to HI salary scale.
