Main objectives To collaborate with MSF medical staff on the integration of psychiatric treatment with basic

healthcare services in order to ensure the treatment of patients suffering from severe and

common psychiatric disorders.

• Provide clinical expertise and mentoring to MoH staff operating in Nawa Hospital.

• Participate in the implementation and the reinforcement of emergency psychiatric protocols

and referrals.

• Lead technical supervision of MSF and supported MHGAP doctors and ensure continuity of

psychiatric case management.

• Support integration of psychiatric care within primary health care services.

• Participate in the reinforcement of emergency psychiatric protocols and referrals.

• Provide remote and in-person technical support to the MHGAP doctors.

• Conduct supervision visits and provide training to medical teams on psychiatric management,

adapted to the context.

Main responsibilities

and tasks

• Implement and adapt MSF psychiatric protocols and emergency care pathways to both

contexts.

• Provide technical supervision and capacity-building for MHGAP-trained doctors (MoH and

MSF-supported).

• Compile and review the necessary data and report - Contribute to the development and

review of psychiatric case registers and line lists.

• Conduct regular contextual analysis and advise on the feasibility and sustainability of

psychiatric service provision, including links with MoH and other actors.

• Promote a multi-disciplinary approach to care and ensure effective communication with

medical, mental health, and social teams
