Acted PSEAH Policy
The Project Assistant (Community-Based Protection CBP) has the responsibility to adhere to the PSEAH Policy (Protection against Sexual Exploitation, Abuse and Harassment). The Project Assistant (Community-Based Protection CBP) has the obligation to complete all mandatory training courses related to the Code of Conduct and the PSEA policy and report any safeguarding concern such asbreaches oforganizational policies or codes of conduct according toActed's procedures. The Project Assistant (Community-Based Protection CBP) carries out work duties in a way that does not harm children, vulnerable adults or other staff or volunteers.
JOB PURPOSE
The Project Assistant (Community-Based Protection CBP) supports the CBP Project Officer in the implementation of community mobilization and protection activities across ACTED-supported sites in Northwest Syria under the mobile response approach. In sites where a Camp Management Unit (CMU) is present, ACTED complements its work; in sites without a CMU, ACTED assumes direct camp/site management responsibilities. The CBP Assistant contributes to activities such as Communication with Communities (CwC) schemes, governance structures, awareness sessions, emergency committee meetings, and focus group discussions (FGDs). The Assistant also supports the supervision of CCCM Outreach Workers and ensures timely coordination with site residents, committees, and service providers. If the need arises, management may ask the employee to support another camp or site (mobile) or another department from time to time.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Support implementation of an effective CwC scheme in identifying and monitoring the protection risks and concerns in the camp
2. Support establishment and strengthening of governance structures
3. Ensure protection mainstreaming through the CwC/self-governance activities
4. Supervise CCCM outreach workers / ILs
5. Support in follow-up the sites incidents and fire safety points
