Danish Red Cross is looking for a Consortium Manager in Syria to lead the management of an ECHO funded action to ensure strategic objectives and donor commitments are met.
The ECHO funded consortium brings together the Syrian Arab Red Crescent (SARC) as the implementing partner, supported by Danish Red Cross as consortium Lead, German Red Cross, Norwegian Red Cross, Swedish Red Cross and the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC).
Duty Station: Damascus, Syria (with regular travel to project site locations in consultation with and support from SARC)

Purpose of the Role
The Consortium Manager will ensure the overall coordination and management of the consortium’s programme in Syria, while informing and supporting the strategic direction. They will convene consortium partners, the Danish Red Cross country/regional/HQ team, donors and key stakeholders on issues of importance to consortium management and the ECHO action.
The role covers consortium management, project cycle management (PCM), project management, capacity sharing, strategic direction, humanitarian diplomacy and fundraising.

This is a 12-month position, with possibility for an extension inclusive of a 3-month probationary period. The duty station is Damascus in Syria, which is currently a non-family duty station with a paid 7-day Rest & Recuperation (R&R) break (inclusive of 2 travel days) for every 10 weeks. The R&R cycle is reviewed on a yearly basis or in response to a significant change in the context. Regular travel to programme areas within Syria is obligatory to the extent that the security situation permits.
The contract will be administered in accordance with the Danish Red Cross Terms & Conditions for Delegates. Attractive salary package will be offered depending on qualifications and experience.
