Support implementation of treasury systems and improvements to existing processes
Process and track payments, ensuring compliance with internal controls and banking regulations.
Participate, if needed, in the major payments that have to be made in the field
Collect the relevant supportive documents regarding the expenses/ purchases/ payments done in the field
Guarantee the respect of Bahar’s financial guidelines and procedures
Maintain proper filing of all financial documentation (vouchers, contracts, tender documents, etc.)
Ensure accurate documentation and filing of all treasury-related transactions and reports.
Responsible for filing electronic scan files and maintaining the scan archive.
Assist in the preparation of monthly treasury reports, including cash position, and funding needs.
Provide necessary documents and reports for internal control.
Support in the preparation of monthly accounting reports and accounting files for projects.
Record all expenses in the cash books daily, and to properly fill in the information needed (date, cost center, project, budget code, etc.
Participate in the consolidation of budget follow-ups and cash forecasts at a base level.
Prepare the weekly financial forecast of the base, compile it, and send it to the Treasury head of unit for validation.
Carry out all bank-related operations including tracking bank account activities, processing payments through bank transfers and cheques, and ensuring compliance with bank requirements.
Bachelor’s degree or Institute Degree, preferably in finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field
At least 2 years of relevant experience (preferably in Humanitarian aid projects and complicated contexts).
English language proficiency: Good.
MS-Office proficiency: Advanced (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
Good communication and social skills.
Accurate, structured, flexible, and responsible.
Empathy with organizational vision, mission, goals, and objectives; commitment to humanitarian principles and actions. Solid organizational skills, including attention to detail and multitasking skills.
Willingness to work in a location different from that stated in the contract.
Willingness to work for extra hours as necessary.
