The function of the Standby Gynecologist is to provide medical and other related tasks to the Health Program in MMTs and Clinics.
Provide scheduled preventive and curative services for generalized internal diseases (chest, heart, others) at the
MMT for minor cases.
• Prescription of medications according to national/international standard treatment protocol.
• Provides a referral base at the Clinic for more severe cases to other specialized services.
• Provide high quality Antenatal and postnatal care for pregnant women according to National and International
standards (WHO/ UNFPA).
• Provide family planning services, with advocacy, guidance and education of the patient.
• Supervise (train) and guide the gynecology nurse for patient care and education if needed.
• Maintain, submit and update all patient data on the designated HIS program.
• Build, strengthen and share lessons learned regarding best practices to be followed at the MMT.
• Assist in the implementation of the Clinic employee orientation programs and training needs of mid-level health
staff.
• Prepare and submit the EWARS Report on daily basis. .
• Rotating between the Clinic and MMT teams as per locations need.
• Other related assignments.
Medical degree.
✓ Master/Syrian Board Degree or equivalent in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
✓ Adequate registration with the medical council and/or authorization to work as a Gynecologist from the MOH,
Syria.
✓ Minimum of two to three years of experience required as a working Internist.✓ Must be able to take on medical/non-medical responsibilities from time to time to cover for other team members.
✓ Ability to exercise sound judgment, to make decisions independently and to motivate local staff effectively
