Job Title: Community Health Worker

The Community Health Worker (CHW) is responsible for conducting household visits in the assigned communities to record un-vaccinated children under 5, pregnant women for ante-natal check-ups, health & hygiene education and establishing a referral mechanism from communities to facilities. CHW will also be responsible for recording the community activities and submitting the reports to his/her supervisor. This position reports to the Community Health Officer.
One year of experience in the delivery of health messages at a community level.
Minimum, completion of secondary education.
Certificate/training in first aid will be an asset
Well known and accepted by the community. Preferably from the target community
Demonstrable ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative.
