
Kindly complete this form to apply to the position of Referral & Inclusion Assistant Aleppo (1), Azaz (1) Job Title: Referral & Inclusion Assistant Location: Idlib (1) & (1) Aleppo with frequent travel to Azaz & Idlib Reports to: Protection & Referral Junior Officer Job Purpose: The Referral & Inclusion Assistant will support field-level identification, referral, and follow-up of individuals in need of protection support. They will help ensure timely and confidential referrals, contribute to inclusive programming, and monitor protection risks in communities.
Identify individuals in need of protection support during field activities. • Collect initial information and assist in completing referral forms. • Submit referrals to the Junior Officer in a timely and confidential manner. • Follow up with beneficiaries (as instructed) and update on referral status. • Help update the list of available service providers in the area. • Report changes or gaps in services to the Junior Officer. • Assist in identifying barriers to participation for vulnerable groups. • Support the implementation of inclusive practices during activities. • Share observations on exclusion risks with the Junior Officer. • Join field visits and community activities to observe and flag protection risks. • Maintain accurate attendance, referral records, and field notes. • Report daily field findings and updates to the Junior Officer. • Ensure that protection principles (do no harm, accountability, participation, and non-discrimination) are considered in all PIN activities. • Support in conducting accessibility checks and service mapping to ensure locations and services are inclusive. • Share ideas for improving accessibility and safety measures in service points and activity locations. • Identify and report protection concerns that may arise during any activity and advocate for safe, dignified, and inclusive access to services. • Plan and support the implementation of outreach events targeting vulnerable community members to raise awareness on available services and protection topics. • Assist in adapting outreach materials and messaging to be age-appropriate, culturally sensitive, and inclusive. • Record attendance and feedback from outreach activities and share findings with the Junior Officer. • Assist in organizing logistical aspects of training sessions for staff, volunteers, or community members • Support the facilitation of basic awareness sessions on protection, referrals, and inclusion under the guidance of the Senior Protection Officer. • Distribute and collect training materials, attendance sheets, and evaluation forms. • Capture and report feedback from participants to inform future training improvements.
Minimum of 2 years of proven experience in protection, referrals, fieldwork, or community engagement, preferably within humanitarian or development settings. - Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with vulnerable groups. - Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and act with sensitivity and respect. - Good knowledge of humanitarian principles, protection standards, and referral mechanisms. - Fluency in Arabic (spoken and written); English is a strong asset. - Strong organizational skills, with the ability to maintain accurate documentation and reports. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team in remote or underserved areas, often under pressure.
