
The PSS Facilitator is responsible for delivering structured psychosocial support (PSS) and social-emotional learning (SEL) sessions to children and adolescents in Temporary Learning Centers (TLCs), schools and community settings. The facilitator creates a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment for participants to express themselves, develop coping skills, and build resilience. This role is key in supporting children's mental well-being and reinforcing protection and education objectives through daily group-based activities.
Deliver structured PSS and SEL sessions in TLCs, schools, and mobile settings. • Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for children. • Conduct daily visual assessments and identify children in distress. • Facilitate recreational and psychosocial group activities tailored to children’s needs. • Support parenting sessions on child well-being and protection. • Record attendance and submit basic weekly reports. • Manage and secure PSS materials and supplies. • Support PSS activities in other TLCs or schools when needed to fill gaps. • Ensure compliance with child protection and safety protocols. • Report protection concerns to the supervisor and protection assistants for referral.
High school diploma as a minimum requirement (mandatory). • Minimum 2 year of experience in delivering PSS and SEL activities or working with children (Mandatory). • Strong facilitation skills and the ability to connect with children of various ages. • Understanding of child development and psychosocial support principles. • Good communication and teamwork skills. • Fluent in Arabic. • Familiarity with humanitarian principles and child safeguarding. • Willingness to work flexible hours and in remote or underserved locations.
