Supervise and manage all field team members, ensuring effective coordination and performance in line with the project plan.
-Oversee the day-to-day implementation of all project activities, including support to wheat farmers, livestock keepers, agricultural training sessions, and rehabilitation works (irrigation system, bakery).
-Develop and follow detailed work plans and implementation schedules, adapting as needed based on field realities.
-Coordinate with engineers and technicians to ensure proper implementation of infrastructure rehabilitation (canals, pumping station, buried pipelines, bakery).
-Ensure quality, timely, and cost-effective delivery of services and materials to beneficiaries.
-Conduct regular field visits to monitor progress, assess performance, and verify adherence to standards and specifications.
-Participate in needs assessments, community consultations, and baseline data collection to guide targeting and activity design.
-Share any required information with the project manager and department grants to write a subsequent projects.
-Monitor the distribution of agricultural inputs and fodder to ensure fairness, transparency, and alignment with beneficiary lists.
-Ensure proper documentation of project activities, including data collection, beneficiary records, and Means of Verification (MoVs).
-Identify implementation challenges, risks (including gender-related issues), and bottlenecks and propose timely solutions.
-Compile weekly and monthly narrative and quantitative reports combining field staff input and project progress.
-Coordinate closely with the Monitoring & Evaluation team to ensure effective tracking of outputs and outcomes.
-Uphold accountability mechanisms and support feedback and complaint-handling procedures.
-Ensure compliance with donor guidelines and organizational policies, particularly related to gender equality, protection, and Do No Harm principles.
-Support coordination with local authorities, community leaders, and committees throughout the project lifecycle.
-Contribute to final evaluations, lessons learned exercises, and recommendations for future interventions.
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Agricultural Engineering & Sciences, or a related field.
-Proven experience (minimum 4 years) in supervising field-level humanitarian or development projects, particularly in agriculture, livestock, or infrastructure rehabilitation.
-Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to supervise diverse teams and coordinate with engineers, technicians, and field officers.
-Strong reporting and documentation skills, including collecting Means of Verification (MoVs) and compiling narrative reports.
-Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), data collection tools, and digital communication platforms.
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to liaise with donors, stakeholders, and partners.
-Fluency in English language is an asset.
