General mission

Reporting to the Project Manager, the Project Supervisor contributes to the implementation of the mandate and the 10-year strategy of Humanity & Inclusion in the country where s/he is based. The project supervisor contributes to the implementation of his/her project, ensuring the optimal quality, integration and impact of the project. S/he works closely with the program technical team and support services. S/He supervises the project field team.


 

1.     Mission 1: Leadership & Supervision

·       Role Model & Organizational Values: embody HI's values daily and be a role model. promoting ethical behavior and professionalism.

·       Strategic Execution & Coaching: understand the project strategy, make it explicit, translate it into operational objectives for his or her team, lead the necessary changes.

·       Operational management: organize the operational management of his or her team, across the different sectors, structure the work around identified processes, steer performance and facilitate the resolution of problems.

·       Human Resources & Staff Development: contribute to the development of his or her staff, creating the conditions for their commitment, professionalism and attachment to HI. Ensure compliance with the code of conduct and institutional policies, the mindset and expected individual and collective behavior.

2.     Mission 2: Operational implementation

1-     Responsibility 1: Contribute to project planning and implementation in line with the existing frameworks

·       Contribute to planning and preparing activities, tools and the associated resources, and implement the action plan in conjunction with the support services and the technical unit.

·       Ensure that activities are implemented and that resources are correctly allocated as authorized by the project manager.

·       Ensure regular reporting of activities and contribute to the internal and external reporting as requested by the project manager.

·       Follow-up and track on the procurement of the project

·       Contribute to identifying areas of the project in which adjustments are required and put forward adaptations to the project manager.

·       Ensure that project documents and information are properly archived.

·       Contribute to the drafting of amendment requests when asked by the project manager.

·       Participate in the regular Budget follow up meeting, in coordination with the PM and relevant departments. 

·       Contribute to coordination with the local stakeholders and to monitoring the partnership relationship with the project partners

2-     Responsibility 2: Contribute to project monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning

·       Contribute to project monitoring, specifically activity progress indicators and the expected outcomes.

·       Contribute to project evaluations at the request of the project manager and ensure that project evaluation recommendations are followed.

·       Contribute to the setup and smooth running of accountability mechanisms.

·       Contribute to project learning and lessons learned exercise.

·       Contribute to quarterly project reviews and represent the project in internal HI meetings, as delegated by the Project Manager

3-     Responsibility 3: Ensure project data management

·       Ensure that the appropriate data collection and management tools are in place and are used correctly on the project, in line with global standards.

·       Collect and compile project-related data in the relevant database. Liaise and coordinate closely with the MEAL team to support troubleshooting and ensure high quality data sharing.

4-     Responsibility 4: Contribute to the coordination of project teams

·       As authorized by the project manager, facilitate coordination meetings between the project teams and the support services located in the area, as and when necessary.

·       Ensure that the project teams and the support teams (shared and technical services, in particular) work well together in order to facilitate the implementation of the project.

·       Direct management of the project team in the designated area, including DRR officers, Inclusion case workers, PSS workers, ST and IE TO.

5-     Responsibility 5: Contribute to external project communication

·       Contribute to HI’s external influence by taking part in networks, when required and as delegated by the project manager

·       Communicate about the project to partners, authorities and stakeholders when relevant.

·       Contribute to the collection of success stories and communication material regarding the project.

6-     Responsibility 6: External Communication & Stakeholder Engagement

·       Lead local stakeholder and partner engagement efforts, ensuring alignment and cooperation in project execution.

·       Represent HI in relevant networks, meetings, and external discussions, advocating for project goals and strategic priorities.

·       Communicate project achievements and challenges effectively to donors, partners, and authorities.

3.     Mission 3: Emergency Preparedness and Response

·       Contribute to the program’s emergency preparedness initiatives, and in an emergency situation, adapt his/her working arrangements in order to contribute to an effective humanitarian response from HI


 

Mandatory Qualifications/Requirements

Education:

•       Academic background in Administration, Civil Engineering / Project Management, Business Management, or the High Institute of Planning and Development.


Professional Experience:

•       3–4 years of professional experience with INGOs in implementing project activities; experience in emergency preparedness, education, or disability‑inclusive projects is desirable.

•       Familiarity with challenges related to rehabilitation, victim assistance, or disability inclusion is an asset.

•       Proven experience supervising day‑to‑day activity implementation and managing field teams, work plans, and daily schedules.

•       Strong project management experience, including coordination with local partners and oversight of field operations.

•       Understanding of safeguarding, protection mainstreaming, and inclusion standards.

•       Knowledge of referral mechanisms.

•       1–2 years of team management experience.

•       Professional experience in the humanitarian sector.

 

 

 

 

Professional & Personal skills required:

•       Strong team leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide field staff.

•       Experience engaging and negotiating with local authorities, civil society, and community stakeholders to ensure effective collaboration.

•       Ability to lead coordination meetings with field partners, local authorities, and internal teams to support smooth project implementation.

•       Skills in tracking progress against indicators, preparing internal reports, and identifying delays or risks.

•       Experience supporting procurement planning, stock tracking, and financial expenditure follow‑up.

•       Strong organizational and problem‑solving abilities.

•       Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
