The Gender, Equality, and Inclusion Officer works to ensure that

the principles of gender justice, equality, and non-
discrimination are integrated into all stages of the design,

implementation, and evaluation of programs and projects, with
a focus on vulnerable and marginalized groups, enhancing the
effectiveness of the humanitarian and development response
and ensuring an inclusive and safe environment for all.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
• Integrate a gender and equality lens into all phases of the
project cycle (planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Conduct gender analyses and gender-sensitive
assessments in target communities.
• Contribute to the design of program activities and
outcomes to ensure their inclusion of marginalized groups
(women, people with disabilities, the elderly, etc.).
• Monitor the implementation of activities and ensure their
alignment with the organization's GESI policies and
principles.
• Provide technical support, training, and capacity building
for staff and partners on gender and inclusion issues.
• Develop evaluation and measurement tools that enhance
the tracking of the impact of gender policies and practices
within programs.
• Document lessons learned and best practices and share
them internally and externally.
• Represent the organization in meetings and forums related
to gender justice, equality, and inclusion.
• Review documents and media and awareness-raising
content to ensure their relevance and gender integrity.
• Submit periodic reports on progress and challenges to the
relevant management.
• Commitment to implementing internal policies on gender
and inclusion.
• Working with evaluation and monitoring teams to ensure
the collection of data disaggregated by sex, age, disability,
and other relevant indicators.
• Participating in donor reporting and ensuring GESI's efforts
are clearly highlighted.

• Coordinating with actors to expand partnerships and
improve services provided to marginalized groups.
• Commitment to protection, gender, non-discrimination,
and zero tolerance policies for gender-based violence.
• Promoting an inclusive and safe culture that respects
diversity and human dignity.
• Maintaining confidentiality and addressing gender issues
with sensitivity.
• Contributing to the development of a work environment
free from discrimination and bias.

Note:
Note: the above-mentioned key responsibilities
/accountabilities are illustrative ones. Another future
responsibilities/accountability may be assigned to the job
depending on the department organizational chart.

Requirements:
• A university degree in gender studies, sociology, human
rights, or a related field.
• At least two years of experience working on gender,
protection, or social inclusion issues.
• Good knowledge of international gender concepts and
policies (CEDAW, IASC, etc.).
• Excellent communication skills and ability to handle
culturally sensitive issues.
• Experience in training and capacity building on gender
and inclusion topics.
• Computer proficiency, particularly Microsoft Office.
Additional advantage:
• Experience in humanitarian work or with civil society
organizations.
• Training in case management tools such as GBVIMS or
CPIMS+.
• Proficiency in English
