The purpose of a Media Assistant is to support the media department in the execution and management of media and communications activities. Support our internal and external communications strategy and respond to requests from the media department management.

  • Collaborate with the media and communications team to develop and implement an effective plan for the organization's activities.
  • High-level coordination with all departments at the organization.
  • Develop a monthly plan for his duties in coordination with the line manager.
  • Archiving and saving the media materials in a trusted way that guarantees their safety and security.
  • Submit daily, weekly, and monthly work reports to the direct manager.
  • Taking all required media footage on the field for all activities in projects.
  • Full media documentation (photos, videos, stakeholder interviews, human stories, success stories, media reports) for all activities.
  • Check the media raw materials and revise them.
  • Respond to media inquiries and arrange interviews.
  • Any additional tasks related to the position as requested by the manager.

Note: The above-mentioned key responsibilities/accountabilities are illustrative ones. Other future responsibilities/accountabilities may be assigned to the job depending on the department's organizational chart.

  1. Essential:
    • High School with minimum specialized courses in the fields of media.
    • 3 years of experience.
    • Proficiency in photography and using media equipment.
  2. Desirable:
    • A Institute degree in Media & Communication or any relevant certificate.
    • Proficiency in design and software (Adobe package: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, Premiere, and Audition).
    • Proficiency in editing and publishing on WordPress CMS.
    • 2 years of experience working in the humanitarian field.
