KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

• Lead and manage the donor reporting function by developing and submitting timely and high quality donor reports on project activities according to Syria Response reporting workflow, and in compliance with donor and internal SC’s requirements.
• Write reports with input from e.g. Filed Managers, Program Operation, Thematic Advisors, Award Managers, PDQ and SCI teams.
• Adapt and customise contents, language and presentation to each donor’s expectations
• Jointly with Field Offices and Country Office team members, ensure Syria Response reporting workflow is fit for purpose and develop improvements as required.
• Translate contents from local language to English when required.
• In close coordination with the field and CO MEAL personnel and program heads, ensure that accurate data are being analysed and reported to donors and members throughout the project cycle.  
• In coordination with the NBD Manager and MEAL Manager, build linkages between reports and proposals to ensure lessons learned and outcomes are well-reflected in proposals.
• Map out the capacity building needs of partners and SCI field teams on elements affecting the overall quality of reports and accurate information flow.
• Lead the capacity building efforts on reporting with partners and staff, and ensure that project commitments are being followed up and properly reported to donors.
• Lead communications with donors and SC members on reporting requirements, deadlines, schedules, report submissions and act as a focal point for any ad-hoc reporting request from donors on Amman/field level.
• Ensure that the schedule of donor reports is communicated to each area office on a quarterly basis with monthly updates as necessary.
• Address comments received by members/donors after submitting the reports by working closely with the relevant teams from the Area Offices. Additionally, tracking the final version of reports and ensuring proper archive for the reports in the AMS.
• Support the awards management department with awards management cycle function as needed and assigned by Syria Response Head of Awards.
• Comply with Save the Children policies and practice with respect to child protection, code of conduct, health and safety, equal opportunities and other relevant policies and procedures.
• Other tasks as assigned by the line manager.
• Act and lead as focal point for the submission of data reports to Syria Respone members/donors including quarterly monitoring reports, 4Ws and others.
• Ensure AMS processes and reporting functions and ensure adherence to system guidelines to promote data quality.
• Develop an understanding of basic donor compliance requirements and support the communication of compliance requirements across the Syria Response CO, FOs and partners.
• Manage in producing other information and communications products for both internal and external audiences as required.

Essential

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Awards/Grants and Reporting Management.
• Significant experience of working internationally in humanitarian programmes.
• Excellent communication skills, in particular in written English
• Experience in leading the preparation and submitting high quality narrative and budget reports for donors, including GFFO, DEC, GAC, SDC, NMFA, FMOFA, ECHO, FCDO, SIDA and OFDA/BHA.
• Education to BSc/BA level in a relevant subject or equivalent field experience.
• Extensive experience in project management and project cycle management, including project design, implementation and evaluation.
• Good understanding of donor compliance and reporting mechanisms and requirements.
• Understanding of general reporting, MEAL activities including accountability approaches, project assessments, designing, managing, monitoring and evaluating humanitarian programmes
• Ability to work well under pressure and work to deadlines
• Experience of and commitment to working through systems of community participation and accountability
• Politically and culturally sensitive with qualities of patience, tact and diplomacy
• The capacity and willingness to be extremely flexible and accommodating in difficult and sometimes insecure working circumstances.
