Job Title: Field Coordinator

Duty Station: As-Suqaylabiyah Sub-district, Rural Hama, Syria

Reports To: Project Manager

Contract Type: Project-based, full-time

About Amal Organization for Relief and Development:

Project Background

The AMTAD Consortium is implementing a Building for Peace project in As-Suqaylabiyah Sub-district, Rural Hama. The project combines infrastructure rehabilitation, social cohesion, and inclusive governance through a community-led approach.

Job Purpose

The Field Coordinator will lead day-to-day coordination and overall field-level supervision of project activities. The role will ensure the smooth implementation across all pathways, including infrastructure, social cohesion, and governance activities, while maintaining coherence between Amal's and TDA's work in the field.

  • Oversee daily field implementation of project activities and ensure alignment with approved work plans.
  • Coordinate field operations across consortium partners and ensure effective communication between technical, program, and support teams.
  • Supervise TDA's field project activities and ensure coherence across the entire project.
  • Track progress against activity plans, timelines, and targets, and flag delays or bottlenecks.
  • Organize and facilitate field coordination meetings with project staff, partners, community representatives, and local stakeholders.
  • Support problem-solving and adaptive management in response to field realities and emerging risks.
  • Ensure that field activities are implemented in a conflict-sensitive, inclusive, and accountable manner.
  • Coordinate community engagement processes and support communication with local authorities and community committees.
  • Ensure proper field-level documentation, reporting, and information sharing with project management.
  • Support monitoring visits, validation exercises, and external missions as required.



 

  • Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, engineering, project management, development studies, or a related field.
  • Minimum 4–6 years of relevant professional experience in field coordination, project implementation, or program management.
  • Proven experience coordinating multi-sector or consortium-based projects.
  • Strong understanding of field operations, stakeholder coordination, and reporting.
  • Experience in community-based programming, preferably in fragile or post-conflict settings.
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams and teams simultaneously.
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in peacebuilding, local governance, or social cohesion programming.
  • Previous work experience with NGOs, consortia, or donor-funded programs.
