This includes coordinating the procurement of goods and services, managing the supply chain, ensuring the timely and cost-effective delivery of materials, and maintaining efficient inventory control.
Security constraints:
Recent political and contextual shifts in Syria have brought significant changes to the security dynamics in the NWS region. While Aleppo is currently experiencing a relative calm, the situation remains fragile. The city is now fully under central government control, following agreements with various OAGs that had been active in the area. However, criminal activity persists, though often underreported. As such, continuous vigilance and heightened alertness are necessary in the city.
A salaried position:
According to experience, starting from EUR 2310 gross per month (2100 base salary + 10% annual leave allowance paid monthly) and a monthly Per Diem of USD 750.
SI also covers accommodation costs and travel expenses between the expatriate's country of origin and the place of assignment.
Breaks: During the assignment, a system of alternation between work and time off is implemented at the rate of 7 working days every three months (with a USD 850 break allowance, allocated by Sl). To these breaks periods, SI grants one (1) additional rest day per month worked.
Insurance package: Expatriates benefit from an insurance package which refunds all healthcare expenses (including medical and surgical expenses, dental care and ophthalmological expenses, repatriation) and a welfare system including war risks. Essential vaccination and antimalarial treatment costs are refunded.
LIVING CONDITIONS:
All international staff based in Aleppo will be accommodated in the SI guest house. The telecommunications network is generally good, though it may vary depending on the specific location within the city. Electricity blackouts are common during the day.
