The MTT component of the project involves the location, removal and destruction of Explosive Remnants of War (ERW) and Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs), marking Suspected and Confirmed Hazardous Areas (SHA/CHA) and when needed delivering emergency Risk Education (RE) & safety briefings to persons at risk on the dangers of ERW and IEDs who are living, traveling or working close to the hazardous areas. The operators may be tasked to assist the project in other ways from time to time.

Mandatory Qualifications/Requirements
Education:
Applicants must hold a secondary school certificate at minimum; higher education is considered an asset.
Professional Experience:
At least two years of demonstrated experience in delivering Risk Education sessions.
Professional experience, preferably in a similar role is an asset
Previous experience with international or local NGO is an asset
Previous work in Mine Action on any type of task is an asset
Professional & Personal skills required:
Safe handling and disposal of ERW and IEDs.
Strict adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Responsible use and maintenance of equipment.
Participation in training and quality assessments.
Basic planning, coordination, and emergency response skills.
Personal security awareness and risk mitigation.
Motivation, teamwork, and adaptability.

The position is based in: the duty station is not defined yet, but could be Hama or Idlib.
Start date: will be identified upon donor confirmation.
Basic salary for the position: according to HI salary scale.
