The Field Accountability Assistant is responsible for supporting the implementation of accountability activities in the field, ensuring that complaints and feedback from target communities are collected and addressed in an effective and confidential manner. The assistant will also support the enhancing of transparency and accountability principles cross all project activities in coordination with field teams.
 

1. Data collection:
• Collecting complaints, feedback, and opinions from beneficiaries using established accountability mechanisms (such as hotlines, complaints and suggestions boxes, community meetings, etc.).
• Ensure that all beneficiary data is accurately recorded and securely stored in accordance with confidentiality and data protection procedures.
2. Support the implementation of the MEAL plan and activities:

Support the integration of accountability activities into MEAL plans and ensure that feedback channels are activated at all project sites.
• Participate in regular community awareness sessions to educate the beneficiaries on feedback mechanisms, accountability principles and their rights to participate in assessments.
• Assist in the implementation of surveys and other assessment activities involving the collection of feedback from beneficiaries and affected communities.
3. Preparing field reports:
• Preparation and submission of periodic field reports summarizing complaints and feedback received, trends observed, and issues requiring immediate action.
• Assist in tracking complaints resolution processes and follow up on outstanding issues with relevant departments and programs.
4. Field team support:
• Close collaboration with field program teams to promote a culture of accountability and greater involvement of beneficiaries in project activities.
• Provide regular feedback to field teams on recurrent societal issues and contribute to proposing practical improvements based on collected data.
5. Support learning and improvement:
• Contribute to documenting good practices, lessons learned, success stories, and findings from accountability mechanisms and community feedback to support project improvement.
• Assist in preparation and support during review sessions with project teams to discuss the results of MEAL activities and identify areas for improvement.
• Contribute to the preparation of recommendations based on the analysis of complaints and observations and the results of various evaluations.
• Support for follow-up implementation of corrective actions and improvement plans resulting from community feedback and field assessments.

Education Level: Bachelor's degree in a related field.
Work Experience: At least 1 year of experience working in accountability, community engagement, MEAL, or other related humanitarian fields
Training: Basic training in humanitarian principles, accountability to affected populations (AAP), data collection, and communication with communities.
Languages: English: B1 Arabic: C2

Ability to produce quality work accurately and concisely according to set deadlines.
