Job Purpose
The Early Recovery Program Project Officer will be
responsible for implementing the Cash-for-Work
project to rehabilitate a number of schools and
infrastructure in Douma city – Rural Damascus, in
accordance with the operational procedures adopted
in the organization’s Early Recovery Program. The
officer will also support the program’s Field
Coordinator in all stages of the project cycle,
specifically in coordinating with stakeholders and
supervising the quality of implementation.

. Follow up on the team’s activities in the field, for
example: preparing Bills of Quantities, conducting
regular visits to worksites, and following up and
updating the daily and weekly plan.
. Prepare regular and timely updates and reports to the
Program Coordinator as required.
. Follow up on updates from the Safety and Security
team to ensure the feasibility of implementing activities
while maintaining the safety of staff and beneficiaries.
. Coordinate with other humanitarian actors in the
field.
. Coordinate with the local council and stakeholders to
sign Memorandums of Understanding in the
implementation areas.
. Provide supervision, guidance, and monitoring to
project staff.
. Coordinate with support departments in the field,
such as Monitoring and Evaluation, Procurement,
Finance, and Media.
. Coordinate with the money transfer agent at the
required time.
. Review the money transfer agent’s documents.
. Review beneficiary lists and verify work
implementation documents and the beneficiary
database.
. Any other task related to the position, assigned by the
supervisor.

Note: the above-mentioned key responsibilities / accountabilities are illustrative ones. Another future responsibilities/accountability may be assigned to the job depending on the department organizational chart.

A. Essential:
▪ Bachelor Degree in engineering .
▪ Previous experience in project’s officer in
NGO .
▪ Experience within the field CFW and
rehabilitation field.
▪ Good command of English
B. Desirable:
▪ Bachelor Degree prefer in civil or
architectural engineering .
▪ Previous experience in project’s officer in
NGO for 3 year as minimum
▪ Minimum two years of relevant experience
within the field CFW and rehabilitation
field.
▪ experience in ERL sector in an NGO .
▪ Very good command of English, especially
the writing skills.
