
MAG Ambulance Driver's responsibility is to drive MAG
Ambulance in case of emergency or as required or as directed
and to ensure the Ambulance is clean, well maintained and fit
for travel.
This job description should be read in conjunction with the
reference document MAG Driver Guidelines and Instructions
attached to this document.
This is a non-contractual document that can be varied
from time to time as circumstances dictate. This job
description is intended to summarize the main duties
and responsibilities of the post; this is not intended to be
a full and exhaustive list of tasks. All MAG staff are
expected to demonstrate flexibility and willingness to
perform appropriate tasks when the need arises.
Some Job Descriptions may be supplemented by specific
Terms of Reference.
• Drives in a manner that respects other road uses
and ensures maximum lifespan of the vehicle.
• Drives MAG Ambulance safely to various
destinations as required.
• Be aware of and adhere to Syrian road rules in
addition to MAG Syria general road safety
regulations.
• Performs daily checks on the duty vehicle and
report any needed repairs to the TFM and from
the TFM to Fleet Officer.
• Ensures that self and passengers use available
seatbelts at all times.
• Travels only along roads that are known to be
well used by vehicular traffic and free from
mines.
• Ensures the Ambulance is ready for use (fuelled,
clean, maintained) at all times.
• Ensures that the Ambulance and its contents are
kept secure (i.e. locked doors and closed
windows).
• Records details of each journey and refuelling in
vehicle log book on a daily basis.
Essential Experience
The post holder should be able to demonstrate the
following attributes:
An understanding of NGOs and a commitment to
humanitarian work.
Qualified driver with valid license.
Must be prepared to work some weekends and
evenings, including Nights should require.

• Work within the framework of MAG’s core values
• Act as an ambassador for MAG
• Contribute to other fundraising initiatives where
appropriate.
• Participate in meetings where relevant.
• Work in compliance with MAG’s Policies, including but
not limited to, Equal Opportunities, Code of Conduct
and Dignity at Work Policies.
• Undertake and apply learning from appropriate
training and development program provided by Fleet
Officer.
• Undertake any other duties as may be required.

• Qualified driver with valid license.
