The health and Nutrition Program Manager will be responsible for leading health projects and developing the program strategy in line with Shafak’s vision and health and nutrition cluster recommendation and presenting the health program in the meetings. In addition to providing technical support to enhance the quality of health and nutrition services***.***

LOCATION: ALEPPO CITY - HQ

Reports to: Head of Programs

Supervision responsibility: Project Manager

  1. Develop and implement health program strategies, plans, and activities in coordination with Shafak’s vision.
  2. Work regularly from Aleppo city office with flexibility and willingness for ad-hoc and potential travel to other provinces if needed.
  3. Ensure compliance with donors’ requirements and regulations for all health projects.
  4. Develop and manage budgets, work plans, and progress reports for the health program.
  5. Oversee the recruitment, training, and supervision of health program staff.
  6. Provide technical support to health program staff in the planning and implementation of project activities.
  7. Build and maintain relationships with donors.
  8. Ensure timely and quality delivery of health program activities.
  9. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the program, making necessary adjustments and improvements.
  10. Manage risks and issues related to the health program and take appropriate action.
  11. Ensure the integration of gender and inclusion in all aspects of the health program.
  12. Prepare and submit narrative reports to the donors and senior management team.
  13. Review and prepare revision requests, need assessments, and proposal developments.
  14. Manage and review tendering process for all health activities and develop procurement plans with procurement departments.
  15. Ensure the integration with all programs and provide technical support to other programs to ensure health standards applying in their programs

  1. Bachelor's or master's degree in health or related field.
  2. At least two years of experience in health projects management
  3. Experience in budgeting, work planning, and progress reporting.
  4. Experience in staff management and capacity building.
  5. Strong technical knowledge in health programming and Microsoft Office programs
  6. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and networking skills.
  7. Ability to work effectively in a team and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  8. Experience in working with donors (INGO and UN agencies).
  9. Knowledge of humanitarian standards and principles.
