Program Officer will be responsible for the operation management of the project/s he/she is managing
under the direct supervision of the Program Coordinator, and he/she is responsible to implement all the
program activities based on the project/s objectives and following the PCM cycle; planning, organization,
implementation monitoring, and evaluation, and he/she is responsible for contributing to the development
and implementation of the Education program through organizing and delivering Education activities.
❖ Responsible for all aspects of the Education project's daily management, including logistics,
administration, security, community, and beneficiaries' liaison.
❖ Regularly review and update the project's work plan.
❖ Ensure the projects remain ‘on track to achieve the project work plan and objectives.
❖ Implement project activities and ensure the good quality and quantity of the project/s outcomes.
❖ Draft concept notes and project proposals in line with the identified needs and funding
opportunities in coordination with the Programs Coordinator.
❖ Identify, facilitate, coordinate, and when necessary, deliver targeted training to meet project
objectives.
❖ Providing necessary support to Programs Coordinator in arranging any meeting/ training/
seminar/ workshop, etc.
❖ Willing and able to travel frequently for extended periods to remote areas of the projects or any
other place directed by the Programs Coordinator.
❖ Attend sector Working Groups and other internal and external meetings as required and needed
in coordination with the Programs manager.
❖ Develop and maintain positive and professional relationships with the partner organization,
donors, politicians, key government officials, civil society groups, religious groups, NGOs, INGOs,
CBOs, media outlets, etc.
❖ Identify potential partners and discuss the possibility and the level of partnership with the
Programs manager.
❖ Facilitate and coordinate with ONSUR monitoring and evaluation officer and enable him/her to
reach all documents needed and meet the beneficiaries as required.
❖ Collects reports and information regarding the overall situation of the beneficiaries in general, and
the project-targeted beneficiaries.
❖ Maintain regular written and oral reporting with the coordinator of the program.
❖ Develop and maintain project records such as monthly reports, attendance sheets, success stories,
databases, and records of decisions.
❖ Submitting daily updates, and weekly and monthly reports to the coordinator of the program on
the targets achieved and the progress of the project activities agreed upon in the detailed work
plans.
❖ Adherence to code of conduct, safeguarding policy, and PSEA policy. Reporting any
complaints related to safeguarding or misconduct.
Note: the above-mentioned key responsibilities/accountabilities are illustrative ones. Other future
responsibilities/accountabilities may be assigned to the job depending on the department's organizational
chart.
❖ Education: Has a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education, Education Management, Social
work, or any other related field
❖ Experience: Has at 2 years of experience implementing Education programs. Has experience
with donor-funded grants and reporting.
❖ Languages: Is fluent in English and Arabic.
❖ Others: Previous experience with remote management and with implementing cross-border
programs in Syria is desired.
Must have 2 or more years of progressive responsibilities in fund management or
program/project management.

❖ In-depth knowledge of educational principles, curriculum development, teaching methodologies,
and learning assessments.
❖ Ability to design, implement, and evaluate educational programs tailored to diverse learners'

❖ Skills in organizing, planning, and executing educational initiatives, including setting goals,
creating timelines, and managing resources effectively.
❖ Strong verbal and written communication skills to convey complex ideas, collaborate with
stakeholders, and create engaging educational materials.
❖ Aptitude for identifying challenges within educational programs and developing innovative
solutions to address them.
