The Case Manager Gender-Based Violence will be responsible for providing group awareness sessions to the beneficiaries and responding to individual cases. As well as responding to individual cases that are referred by other programs that are vulnerable to GBV by providing them case management services or transferring them to other services including medical, psychological and livelihood. etc. In addition to following up the case to ensure the case gets the services it needs.

  • Providing individual and group GBV awareness sessions to the beneficiaries.

  • Conducting preliminary assessment for the cases to find the needs for the services or to transfer them to other programs.

  • Developing a good care plan for cases that must be worked on continuously.

  • Conducting the required psychosocial assessment for cases that need case management to be followed up.

  • Providing preliminary counseling sessions for cases that are being managed as needed

  • Setting out an appropriate care and protection plan for the cases that are responded to and GBV cases managed, with permanently following up.

  • Transmission the cases required specialized services" such as psychological, legal, medical... etc." either in the center or in other centers of the area, with permanently following up and conducting the assessment.

  • Following up the process of the cases referred to other services for evaluation the treatment happened and the improvement achieved.

  • Maintaining the records of the case according to ethical and professional standards of confidentiality and safety.

  • Participating in case conference meetings and case management's volunteers meetings.

  • Assisting in developing referral networks among partners providing GBV services and implementing referral pathways.

  • Preparing the required reports and the treatment plans on time.

  • Contributing positively in the work environment.

  • Providing technical support to the social workers in the center and guidance them about the activities and group sessions that are being implemented

  • Promoting PSEA polices "Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse" in the center and among the beneficiaries to whom various services are provided.

  • All other volunteering tasks might be required to improve working process.

  • Bachelor Degree in Sociology, Counseling Psychology, Psychology or Law.

  • Previous experience is case management. Experience in working with survivors of gender-based violence 1s a necessity.

  • Previous experience in GBV program is a necessity.

  • Previous experience and knowledge of GBV services and referral systems.

  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills.

  • Commitment in helping others and good judgment.

  • Good command of the English language.

  • This vacancy is intended for residents of Al-Qusayr and its rural.

Desirable

  • Previous experience with non-profit organizations would be a plus.

  • Ability to work under pressure and to respect deadlines.

  • Time Management skills.

  • Commitment to the vision, mission, values, principles, and aims of GOPA-DERD.

  • Flexibility and ability to easily adapt to changing needs in a fast-paced work environment.
