Main objectives

Main responsibilities and tasks

• Service Agreement for 1 month, renewable.

• Provide outpatient and/or inpatient medical care to patients/beneficiaries according to adapted and updated medical knowledge, MS protocols, values and universal hygiene standards to improve the patients/beneficiary's health conditions.

• mhGAP trainned Doctor will follow the principals of mhGAP activity as per its protocol*;

General Principles;

• Provide quality consultation through effective communication skills

• Treat people with Mental Neurological Substances disorder (MNS) conditions with respect and dignity.

• Protect the confidentiality of people with MNS conditions.

• Ensure privacy in the clinical setting.

Essentials of Mental Health and Clinical Practice;

• Assess physical health through;taking a detailed history and ask about risk factors.

• Perform a physical examination in order to rule out physical conditions and underlying causes of MNS.

• Provide proper medical care in collaboration with medical team(MSF/partners)

• Conduct a Mental health Neurological Substances disorder assessment as per protocol.

• Manage MNS conditions in collabortion with MH team(counselors and MHAM, technical referent)

• Ensure the patient and the carer receive psychsocial support during consultation.

Other Accountabilities;

• Maintain regular communication with MH team; MHAM, counselors and technical referent.

• Work in collaboration with medical team (NTS, HPS, INH supervisor and Pharmacy)

• Record all nessesary information to patient file, data sheet, referral form etc and participate in proper data collection of the cases.

• Contribute to the promotion of MHPSS and the fight against stigma within the community and among professionals.
