The Site Engineer will be responsible for overseeing and managing the implementation of in-programs rehabilitation activities and shelter-related projects in accordance with GOPA-DERD's technical standards and program objectives. The role involves supervising field activities, ensuring compliance with engineering specifications, and contributing to project reporting and documentation.
Ensures the effective implementation of entities rehabilitation or any other engineering activities in alignment with the goals of implemented programs and the mission and values of GOPA-DERD.
Supervises construction works in accordance with approved technical specifications, designs, and restoration standards.
Conducts site visits to monitor projects progress and assesses compliance with contractual and technical requirements, including materials and location conditions.
Prepares Bills of Quantities (BoQs), technical documentation, and any required financial reports related to engineering works.
Supports the preparation of periodic projects and technical reports as required by the management team.
Develops and applies monitoring and evaluation mechanisms to assess progress toward project objectives.
Collaborates with the Media and Communications Department to document implementation procedures through photos, videos, interviews, and success stories.
Maintains accurate and up-to-date records of site activities, material usage, and contractors' performance.
All other volunteering tasks might be required to improve the working process.
Essentials
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Architectural Engineering.
Minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience, preferably in building restoration or rehabilitation.
Strong knowledge of architectural and construction details and restoration techniques.
Reporting skills, both in Arabic and English languages and documentation skills.
Proficient command of MS office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project) and engineering software (AutoCAD, Revit).
Good command of the English language.
Desirable
Previous experience with non-profit organizations would be a plus.
Ability to work under pressure and to respect deadlines.
Time Management skills.
Commitment to the vision, mission, values, principles, and aims of GOPA-DERD.
Flexibility and ability to easily adapt to changing needs in a fast-paced work environment.
