POSITION SUMMARY: The Senior Information Technology Coordinator is tasked with maintaining all existing systems and user accounts in support of Blumont operations in their area. This role is also responsible for identifying opportunities for improvement in those systems and, in so doing, improving the effectiveness of Blumont’s program work.

 

 

This is a local role; no expat benefits will be provided. 

Supervisory level: Deputy Country Director - Operations

 


 

·      Administers and maintains the organization’s wired and wifi networks to ensure all staff members and guests have consistent, secure and reliable access to the internet;

·      In collaboration with the Headquarters IT team, maintains appropriate and secure access to Blumont systems for all staff;

·      Administers, monitors and maintains all local IT infrastructure to ensure its reliable and secure operation;

·      Is familiar with and enforces compliance with all Blumont IT policies, providing feedback to the Headquarters IT team on any policy adjustments that need to be made;

·      Continually assesses the operation of all Blumont software and hardware systems to identify opportunities to improve those systems and enhance effectiveness of the Blumont team;

·      Stays abreast of programmatic work, challenges and opportunities so that IT strategy and tools are aligned with business goals and objectives;

·      Assists in the development of financial and budgetary information and forecast for all costs relating to IT;

·      Manages all IT related projects, ensuring functional fit and effective change management;

·      Nurtures and maintains good relationships with vendors so that Blumont receives the best possible service and value from the local vendor community;

·      Works closely with the program’s monitoring and evaluation teams to ensure all data collection and analysis tools are functional and reliable;

·      Keeps abreast of latest developments in technology, ensuring the organization plans adequately for changes in technology;

·      Regularly reports to the Country Director and HQ IT, providing clarity on the state of the local IT Infrastructure and ongoing strategic direction of the IT environment and projects;

·      Conducts technology trainings and briefings for new users, and on-going support to project staff;

·      Is available to provide after hours and weekend support to the program team as and when required;

·      Is always on standby in the event of any incident that affects programmatic operations from an IT perspective, and

·      Sets up new workstations for staff, maintains device inventory, upgrades and repairs devices.

·      Handles sensitive information with absolute discretion and confidentiality.

 

Technical skills and knowledge

 

·      Skilled in the operation and administration of Microsoft’s Office 365 environment;

·      Skilled in document management in SharePoint and OneDrive

·      Familiar with Microsoft Azure Active Directory / Entra ID for Identity Management;

·      Familiar with the suite of Microsoft Office tools such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneDrive, OneNote and Teams;

·      Familiar with remote control tools such as Quick Assist

·      Possess advanced networking skills including monitoring / maintenance / operation of firewalls, switches, wireless access points

·      Configure and maintain network printers.

·      Ability to work independently in sometimes challenging circumstances

·      Strong communication skills.

·      Strong organizational skills to be able to multi-task and support a wide variety of users across departments and functions

·      Fluency in English desired.

 


 

·      BA / BS in Information Technology is desired, but may be substituted for with practical experience;

·      A minimum of five year’s work experience in information technology, particularly in donor funded development settings. and

·      Certifications in relevant areas such as Azure Administration, Office 365 Administration, Managing Microsoft Teams, CCNA, Power Automate and Power Apps are preferred.

 

Please note: This role is contingent upon the execution of award. Hiring decisions and employment start dates are subject to funding availability.

Ethical Conduct: Adherence to humanitarian principles, codes of conduct, and ethical standards are essential for maintaining trust and integrity.
