Under the supervision and the mentorship of the Women protection and empowerment senior officer, the WPE Case Supervision Officer will be responsible to run the GBV case management activity in Homs. The WPE Case Supervision Officer will be responsible for the effective implementation and proper documentation of all GBV cases, through supervision and support of caseworkers. The WPE Case Supervision Officer works in close collaboration with other WPE team members and ensures that trends and challenges are properly communicated and documented
Ensure that each caseworker is effectively implementing the case management according to up-to-date Standard Operating Procedures through regular individual meetings and case reviews with caseworkers. Monitor timescales for response, services follow-up and quality and review of cases- Ensure cases receive appropriate support; and when needed, support individual cases, and provide regular monitoring of all aspects of case management services
- Provide ongoing technical support and capacity building to caseworkers through formal training and on-the-job training (i.e.: shadowing, observations, coaching sessions, etc.)
- Assign and review caseworker’s caseloads to ensure they are manageable, review and approve case plans and case closure forms and share.
- Conduct client satisfaction interviews to evaluate the quality and impact of case management, and document feedback and analyze trends regularly
- Regularly review the safe and appropriate documentation of GBV cases, review of files and databases and compiling case trackers within one unified general tracker.
- Work closely with the Data Management and Reporting Officer on providing clean accurate data for reporting purposes ensuring that confidentiality data protection and information-sharing protocols are respected.
- Monitor and analyze data collected by the Case Management team and provide regular reports to the WPE officer on caseload numbers (disaggregated by sex, age, risk level, etc.) and progress.
- Supporting activities for regular project monitoring, process evaluation, and impact evaluation, as requested by the WPE manager.
- Contribute to the collection of information needed for M&E activities and progress towards indicators
- Prepare and submit weekly and monthly work plans in a timely manner and incorporate supervisor feedback as requested.
- Compile monthly activity report for submission to supervisor
- Ensure that all relevant financial documentation is accurately completed and submitted, as the need arises by IRC policies
- Schedule and lead case management meetings with the CM team
- Organize and lead case conferences for complex and high-risk cases.
- Directly communicate effectively with other CM teams across the organization and key stakeholders to regularly report trends and advocate for the women and girls at risk
Staff Performance Management, Learning & Development
- Directly supervise GBV caseworkers.
- Maintain open and professional relations with team members, promoting a strong team spirit
- and providing oversight and guidance to enable staff to successfully perform in their positions.
- Ensure timely completion and submission of monthly timesheets, probation reviews and annual performance reviews.
- Assist with the recruitment of CM staff.
- Ensure training, support, and ongoing capacity building opportunities for staff on technical and
- project management skills across both the Alternative Care and Case Management trends.
Required Experience/qualification/Skills:
- At least years of progressively responsible professional experience of GBV case management
- Bachelor’s degree in social work, social sciences, psychology, counseling, or any related field.
- Demonstrated understanding of working with survivors
- Previous case management supervision experience, knowledge of the case management coaching and supervision techniques, and knowledge of using GBV IMS+ is preferred.
- Previous experience and knowledge of working on documenting GBV CM docs and files,

- Travel: Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment and travel as required to different field sites as well as attending regional and global workshops and meetings
