Type of contract: National contract based on Syrian labour law

Responsibilities ترجم للعربية
- Manage and maintain information systems, networks, internet, and servers, including system administration via Entra ID, CISCO Meraki
- Perform hardware and software installations, upgrades, and maintenance
- Ensure IT systems comply with GIZ Standard Policies and Guidelines
- Troubleshoot and resolve system issues and support users and provide helpdesk
- Conduct trainings, awareness raising and information sessions about the standard usage of GIZ information system for staff members, including the data backup process
- Act as the point of contact for GIZ HQ IT Operations (Global IT Services) and the information security officer
- Support in Azure Cloud applications, including back up
- Implement and maintain ISMS standards (ISO27001) and measures to minimise risk and mitigate the potential threat impact
- Document and maintain IT processes, IT instructions and carry out general IT administration tasks
- Consult and assist management level regarding the procurement of IT related equipment and licenses
- Prepare IT reports and analyses on a regular basis in accordance with GIZ requirements
- Where appropriate and reasonable, perform additional tasks upon request of the management

- University degree (BSc/MSc) in information technology or related fields
- At least 5 years of experience in an IT position or similar experience in IT area
- Certification for Microsoft Windows Server 2022, Windows 11 and MS Office M365 or equivalent experience
- Outstanding knowledge of IT hardware and software, computer network systems, database software and network security
- Relevant working knowledge of ISMS controls and measures based on ISO27001
- Knowledge of GIZ systems and specific GIZ software is an asset
- Understanding the principles of cloud computing and the benefits/limitations of cloud solutions is an asset
- Good presentation, communication and reporting skills with the ability to convey complex technical details in a user-friendly business context
- Good time management
- Professional fluency in written and spoken English and Arabic, knowledge of German is an asset
