CPCD provides high-quality assessments, evaluations, capacity building, Third-Party Monitoring (TPM), research, and training services through experienced teams with extensive expertise in complex and conflict-affected environments.
As part of its ongoing research, monitoring, and evaluation assignments in Syria, CPCD is seeking experienced and qualified Field Researchers to support quantitative and qualitative data collection activities in Damascus and Rural Damascus.

Applicants are not required to reside within a specific project location. Candidates living in Damascus, Rural Damascus, or nearby accessible areas are encouraged to apply, provided they are able to travel regularly and reliably to assigned field locations. Candidates residing in other Syrian governorates are also encouraged to apply and will be considered for potential future opportunities.
Selection will be based on the candidate’s relevant experience, availability, accessibility to field locations, and ability to undertake fieldwork, rather than solely on place of residence.
3. Overall Objective of the Assignment
The Field Researcher will support CPCD in collecting high-quality, reliable, accurate, and verifiable quantitative and qualitative data from targeted individuals, households, communities, institutions, and other relevant stakeholders.
The researcher will be expected to conduct fieldwork professionally while strictly adhering to CPCD's research methodology, ethical standards, confidentiality requirements, and data quality procedures.
Under the supervision of the Field Team Leader and the M&E/Research Team, the Field Researcher will be responsible for the following:
Pre-Fieldwork Preparation
Participate in all mandatory training and orientation sessions.
Become fully familiar with questionnaires, interview guides, sampling procedures, consent forms, and data collection protocols.
Participate in pilot testing of research tools and provide practical feedback.
Understand and comply with ethical requirements, including informed consent, confidentiality, PSEA, safeguarding, and Do No Harm principles.
Become familiar with digital data collection platforms such as Kobo Toolbox, Kobo Collect, or ODK.
